Take advantage of the fact that taxes are on everyone’s mind as Tax Day is quickly approaching! NCTC has created two sample letters for the staff or volunteers of your organization to send to the editors of your local newspapers. These are only samples to get you started, so please tailor the letters to reflect your community and your voice!

EITC Awareness Day 2012
Throughout the 2012 tax season, NCTC encourages VITA sites to invite their elected officials out to the tax sites. This is a great way to build relationships with your legislators and increase awareness of your free tax preparation and asset building services. We can provide you with support as you reach out to your elected officials and plan these events.
