VITA Funding: Ask Your Representative to Sign the Dear Colleague Letter
Representative Mary Jo Kilroy (D/15th-OH) is circulating a "Dear Colleague" letter in support of increased appropriations for the VITA Grant Program. Ask your Representative to show their support by signing-on.
The deadline to collect signatures for the Dear Colleague Letter is Friday, May 7th.
How to Take Action:
Step 1: Find your Representative's DC Phone Number
Step 2: Ask to speak with the tax staffer. If they are not available, leave a voicemail but make sure to follow-up.
Step 3: Ask the staffer if the Representative will sign-on to a Dear Colleague letter in support of increased funding for the VITA Grant Program.
Step 4: If the Representative is interested in signing the Dear Colleague letter, tell the staffer to contact Collin Masters in Representative Kilroy's office.
Step 5: Email the staffer the following information immediately following the call:

Once you have the appropriate staffers name, you can go ahead and email them the information listed above and keep following up with a call. Standard House staffer emails are: Firstname.Lastname@mail.house.gov
