Representative Mary Jo Kilroy (D/15th-OH) is circulating a "Dear Colleague" letter in support of increased appropriations for the VITA Grant Program. Ask your Representative to show their support by signing-on.

The deadline to collect signatures for the Dear Colleague Letter is Friday, May 7th.

How to Take Action:

Step 1: Find your Representative's DC Phone Number

Step 2: Ask to speak with the tax staffer. If  they are not available, leave a voicemail but make sure to follow-up.

Step 3: Ask the staffer if the Representative will sign-on to a Dear Colleague letter in support of increased funding for the VITA Grant Program.

Step 4: If the Representative is interested in signing the Dear Colleague letter, tell the staffer to contact Collin Masters in Representative Kilroy's office.

Step 5: Email the staffer the following information immediately following the call:

  1. Interested offices should contact Colin Masters (Colin.Masters@mail.house.gov / 202-225-2015) to sign on.

  2. A copy of the Dear Colleague letter

Once you have the appropriate staffers name, you can go ahead and email them the information listed above and keep following up with a call.  Standard House staffer emails are: Firstname.Lastname@mail.house.gov

After connecting with your Representative's office, please send an update to Lucy Mullany, NCTC's Field organizer
