Nationwide Free Tax Preparation Site List
- The VITA Site list helps taxpayers locate nearby volunteer sites that help low- to moderate-income (generally, $49,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers sponsored by various organizations receive training to help prepare basic tax returns in communities across the country. VITA sites are generally located at community and neighborhood centers, libraries, schools, shopping malls, and other convenient locations. Most locations also offer free electronic filing.

Where's My Refund?
- One of IRS’ most popular online features, "Where's My Refund?" gives taxpayers access to information about the status of their individual federal income tax refunds. This information is available regardless of whether they have asked IRS to direct deposit their refunds to one, two or three accounts; applied any or all of their refund toward the purchase of U.S. Savings Bonds; or asked to be mailed a paper check.
