Promoting Financial Stability
The United Way of Metropolitan Nashville partnered with local artists in Nashville, TN to compose and record a hip-hop song, aptly entitled, “Earn It. Keep It. Save It.” to promote financial stability.
Many financial stability initiatives and coalitions, have a motto, such as United Way’s “Earn It. Keep It. Save It.” Local Nashville artists composed and recorded a hip-hop song, aptly entitled, “Earn It. Keep It. Save It.” Now, your organization can access this song and use it for your own financial stability initiative. Consider these ideas for using the song to promote your own financial stability work:
- Create a financial stability lesson plan around the song and share with local schools, colleges, and other partners. Lyrics are attached.
- Offer free download from your website or online social media to draw online traffic.
- Play the song or even hire the artists to perform at upcoming events and conferences. They recently performed at one of our free tax prep events.
- Make CDs and give to volunteers, VITA customers, and others as favors or a take-away from your booth, event, or other appearance.
