Earned Income Tax Credit

For low-wage earners, the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) can dramatically reduce the amount of taxes they owe—therefore increasing the chance of receiving a refund after taxes are filed.

Because the EITC has been proven to promote work and tax fairness, the NCTC supports tripling the maximum EITC amount to make more working parents eligible.
