To keep you informed about important issues, NCTC hosts several listservs. Subscribers can easily send messages to everyone else who is subscribed. If you're not already participating, you can sign up at any time.

Tax Roundtable Listserv

For NCTC affiliates, including organizations providing free tax preparation, Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) outreach, or related activities. The listserv provides:

  • Analyses of new tax policies and procedures affecting low-income taxpayers and free tax preparation programs.
  • Opportunities for leaders of free tax preparation and asset building programs to share strategies, questions, and solutions to challenges.
  • Sharing resources with other programs.

  • Advocacy alerts on immigrant taxpayer issues

White Earth Volunteers

White Earth Investment Initiative

The clientele at White Earth Investment Initiatives VITA site is unlike just about any other – the site is on an Indian Reservation. Despite its rural location in a town of 1,000, White Earth offers a wide array of services, including homebuyer education, housing counseling, savings and trust matching programs and free tax preparation. 

We asked Sarah Castro, Service Development Coordinator at White Earth, about the services they provide primarily to members of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe members.
