The policy content of this web seminar will draw from the resource guide, Advocating at the Local Level, available on the Manufactured Housing Advocacy Center Toolkit page.
The Local Policy to Preserve and Promote Manufactured Housing web seminar will highlight key local policies that impact the availability and opportunities of manufactured housing as a viable, affordable housing choice, including zoning, moratoriums and other local ordinances. The web seminar will include local advocates with practical tips on how to best influence local policies to support low-income homeowners, including information on the consolidated and comprehensive planning process.
This web seminar is designed for owners of manufactured homes, affordable housing advocates, legal services agencies and others working with low-income homeowners living in land-lease communities, state and local policymakers, and others interested in expanding affordable housing opportunities in their communities.
